Compressor Wiring

Post by joel HJ60 »

Two quick ones.

I'm having two little dramas wiring up the compressor switch in my 60.

1. How do I identify a wire to splice into when power is on in the ACC or ON position. (i.e So the compressor can only work while power is on.)

2. I have found the wire so that when I turn the lights on the switch lights light up, but when I have that spliced in and turn the lights on then turn them off the lights don't go out (car lights). Is this negative switching? How do I fix this?

Thanks, Joel

with ur ign set to acc test all the wires going into ur ign switch will be atleast 2 with power (a nice sharp test light works best) once u have found the 2 or more with power switch ur ign off 1 wire will lose power that is ur acc wire

as for the switch prob those switches usually have a power wire from your lights or your ignition to tell u when the switch is on will your lights go out if you turn the swich u wired up off?
