$800 with 3 months rego
got 31s under it.

its a 2.6 with high Ks but doesnt blow any smoke or anything. it actually runs quite well :D
he has a spare astron2 motor for it and theres always my cordia motor

are there any things to look out for on the 2.6 versions?

the Xfer is stuck in 2wd for some reason.
the guy was saying it has something to do with the clutch? as the slave cylinder is leaking a little.

any ideas?

are all Xfers the same? im thinking if we need to replace the xfer then we might as well stick some crawler gears in it while we are there

Your mate has an antenna growing out of his head....watch out that it does not get caught in trees - that would hurt.

Welcome him to the family. :P

35s

we stuck my 35s under it to see if they fit, and they didnt scrub at all.
next step will be cut the guards to give it plenty of room, extend the bumpstops to limit uptravel if needed and get a set of crawler gears :D

we only really lifted it 1" by winding up the torsion bars a little.

only to fit it under and see if there was any scrub at full lock etc... on the street. and to see if the rim offset was good.

when he gets 33s we will cut the guards and lift it properly front and back etc...
then stick all four of my 35s under it and take it out for a run somewhere..
if all goes well then he will buy a set for himself.
