Does anyone know how to get the bottom of the leads off from around the spark plugs with out having to pull the head off they were broken off when i bought the car the top of the plugs were put in got the car cheap so it did,nt worry me when the guy said it had a flat battery and the starter was shit other then that the car is fine please help

other than trying to jamb the sparkplug plug on top of the thing and trying that way the only other idea i have is get some very stiff wire .. stainless steel would be best but a coathanger might work, bend a smal hook on the bottom .... go fishing down the tube untill you get the wire down the side of the plug lead and yank upwards hard .. might be enough to dislodge whats left of the plug lead.

The leads just push on, but i suspect that with age and heat they have stuck to the ceramic.
You do realise the spark plug tubes come out of the head ?
Take off the rocker cover, find a socket, piece of wood etc that tightly fits into the top of the spark plug tube and gently start tapping the top of the tube sideways ( back and forth ). After a while the tube will start moving in the head and eventually come out ( they are only a press fit ). You will then have full access to the plug.
If your careful you won't deform the tube, a little gasket cement on the bottom when reinstalled will take care of any possible leaks. Use a piece of wood on the top of the tube to protect it when hammering it back in and rags over the rocker gear to stop crud falling onto it.
Check the tube seals in the rocker cover whilst your at it. I have seen some that are as hard as concrete and others that are still nice and flexible. Easier to do it now than find they leak later.
I have done this - although I turned up an aluminum plug to fit. it worked well.
If that sounds too hard, you could use a long straight bladed screwdriver as a chisel to try and cut away the old lead but easy solutions have a habit of getting complex...... oops @#$#%^$%^

Thanks i try that i've tryed every thing else evan tried the scewdriver with a hammer breaking the rubber then blowing it out with compressed air that took ages with not much luck so i try get the tubes out
