tmax have IMO the 2nd best built winch (mechanically speaking, Ox is 1st)
the planetary setup is huge and the gears are heat treated well, they have the same size planetary setup from 6000-11000lb and they run 5.5hp motors.
well built for the price, but pull the covers off and grease/clean and re-silastic occasionally (at least its easier to do than a warn ).

I have a 10 000 t-max on my hilux and has never missed a beat, and have done some really long single line pulls, even pulled a few stumps and fence posts out with it.
I would recomend them.

If you have ever opened an Ox control box you will see T-max all over the solinoids, so I doubt you will find a difference between an Ox n T-max.1MadEngineer wrote:tmax have IMO the 2nd best built winch (mechanically speaking, Ox is 1st)
