Hi there, a mate has a 2.8 and is looking at intercooling it, Has anyone here used a cooler off a 3.0 td, is there a better set up? cheers Phil. any advise on the water to air coolers on ebay?

if he has a 4jb1 engine in it then the 3.1 L isuzu mu fit strait on (usually 1992 model onwards, pre1992 have 2.8 L engine and thats not intercooled). but good luck findin a mu with an intercooler on it thats wrecked .

i did it with my mates rodeo 1993 model made a little difference . worth it though

You'll need the bonnet scoop as well to aid with cool air flow.

And it will need the fuel adjusted accordingly to make use of the cooler intake to see any real power gains.

Without the fuel adjusted, it will be almost negliable difference (except maybe your exhaust temps will be lower).
