fan not working

my fan is not working in 85 hilux,switch fine, fuses fine,fan motor is fine,checked with 12v.there is a relay next to fuses could it be this? there is no power to the fan motor or switch,thanks brendan.

Does it work on any speed? Some fans use resistors to limit current on the lower speeds - one dud resistor can kill a couple of speeds, but not normally the highest speed.

hi the fan is not working on any speeds at all i have checked the resistor and the coils are in tact (not broken ) this has got me stumped because no fan ,no air con, have i missed a fuse some where because i have checked all the plugs with acsessories and motor running with a 12v test light and there seems to be no power at all,thanks brendan

So you checked the fuse in the engine bay and behind driver kick panel?

I've seen the plug pins burnt in the dash, where the loom connector is attached to the switch and the tracks on the switch board burnt too.

It might be a matter of you getting this out to inspect.

There is a procedure for getting to there without breaking plastic, if you don't know, Just ask us if you need it.

If you need wiring diagrams, just PM me your email address and quote "F:\4runner tech\wiring diagrams\Hilux diagrams 1_1, 3_2 and 3_3".
