Hi guys i have what i believe is either a rdo1 or rd02 locker to suit a hilux diff .Problem is i can get a new piston and seal for this locker but the flange cap that one of the bearings sits on is broke on the bearing journal.Arb dont have any stock nor do they machine up one offs .
Anyone have any idea were i could possibly find one or get one made?

I would be interested in seeing what you decided to do. I have a similar problem with and RD02 Flange Cap. I am waiting for ARB diff section in Melbourne to open on the 14th Jan to see if an RD33 Flange Cap will suit (it will need a 50mm carrier bearing instead of 45mm).
Otherwise I might need to get one machined up. Would be great to know what soloution you found.

looks like arb part 030222 50mm rd33 end cap will fit, if your rd01/02 has the 6 bolt not 4 bolt end cap, you will also need a new bearing and seal housing (50mm ID) i would get them to order it in and take your locker in and see if it all lines up, i would think that it is only the bearing ID that would have changed. strange that your shaft is undersize, was it machined down or a dodgy bearing perhaps?might be worth checking with a new bearing first.

My locker has the 4cylinder cap bolts so i'm not sure where that leaves me. What was the difference in the 4 and 6 bolt models?
Regarding the shaft, I can only assume the bearing had scored the shaft and instead of notifying the owner and fixing properly at the time the transmission joint decided to do a dodgy job.

Hey, I had a couple of the real early ARB diff locks, that had the 4 bolt cap, originally put in a hilux.These were covered under warranty at one point in time as the four bolts were found to come loose over time and they were replaced by he 6 bolt version. Trick is that the real early 4 bolt diff locks were made by ROBERTS and ARB bought them out. I did not get warranty on either of my for 4 bolt lockers so I got them rebuilt by Jack McNamara Diffs in Moorabbin, http://www.mcnamaradiffs.com.au/
The guy is a bit rude (ull c what i mean) but knows his diffs. They rebuilt my two diffs with new end caps and 8 bolts holding them together, I ran them forever and never had a problem even with a supercharged motor.

Did you actually throw it out? Gave that bloke a call, see what you mean, he is a real charachter ("just burr the bastard up and loctite it on").
Looks like the bearing inner was pretty worn and when I finally got the right bearings the fit wasn't as bad as I first thougt. Put her all back together yesterday and no problems.
