If you intend on running as a group, could you inform the start offical so we can let the vehicle who want to run solo go first

This will be a LONG night run at least 4hr without check points or hold ups

So you could be a long way from help, if you have taken a wrong turn help will be even longer to reach you. That is why the club requests visitors to be self suficent.

twas a v/good night, wally & I had a ball,,everything looks diferent at night!!!! the maps worked well, but it was so easy to stuff it up by missing the count of just 1 side track can realy throw the whole map out of wack( we did quite a bit of backtracking to our last known point to start again)1st test was alittle hill climb up a loose quarry, down some tight loose stuff to a rocky section, we were later told this was put in as an early sort the rigs out( taste of what was to come,& if that was too hard they could terminate there night there) after that was a loose hillclimb & large stepup at the end, with most rigs even having trouble on the bypass then off to CP1 an exelent rocky geourge run!!
that saw GQ's straddling a hole in a granite rockthat a whole zook would sit in
all in all great night with challenging driving TKS to all involved...must go now haeding back out to find Blackass's recovery box,we think it came off when he put the navara on its side, & if he wsnt infront it would have been us cheers pig

We Had a good night even with the the expected rover breakages ! Nearly got to cp1 but The last break put us out of action and in limp home mode (another A frame ball joint just tore the nut clean off) .
Thanks again to Brett and ALL ! So how many actually finished ??
who won ??
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Only 1 team found CP3  And they had no real issues finding it.

We packed it in at around 2AM at CP1-2. As we couldnt get any responce from any other vehicles on Ch21.(it is important that you use UHF 21 on these runs so we can keep track of progress)

I think most teams found it a real challenge driving back to the top of the hill from CP1&2. It was surprising some of the built rigs struggled more than the more stock rigs. At the end of the night i drove my stock 45 series cruiser on 33" all-terrains and no lockers straight out with no issues.

Thanks to all the teams that attended.

Does anyone know if the guys from Toowoomba that snapped the rear pinion oin the patrol made it home ok? I know they got back to the road after pulling the rear centre and removing the remains of the pinion and putting it back together.

we were so close at the end of it to getting there but no luck. had the gps points but just couldnt find the entrance. we didnt no what to look for anyway, getting late and tired, so just packed it in and headed home round 1AM

G;day piglet,
I found your recovery box on the side of the track lastnight, give me a call and we"ll organise getting it back to you.
Big  to brett for runing a fun night, cp1 was good fun, some challenging stuff between cp's, shame we didn"t get to cp3.
Another good night run by the Logan Club.

Unbelievable, Blackers, is there a truck you can drive that you dont put on its side !!!!
Every obstical worth driving has an element of risk, without risk there can be no glory!
