coily power steer conversion

Post by ozy1 »

okay, tried searching and failed, im sorrry i suck at search,

anyways, we want to fit a power steering kit to a 97 coily, we have been told to get the lot froom a Jimny,

question, does it matter what motor was in the jimny, i believe they came out with a G13BB, and was told there is an M sieries motor,

i believe think the coily is a G13A, any help appreciated,

was also told the jimny box will bolt to the sierra rails?

please help me,

Shawn

you only want it off the G series ones otherwise you will have to source a different pump and pump bracket for the m series.

The steel powersteer lines will fit with a little bending but i'm about to get my lines all remade from enzed so they fit better and look nicer

Yes the steering box bolts straight on. I used the jimny ps pump with a vitara pump bracket which bolted straight onto the engine because the jimny bracket would have needed re-drilling.

yes the G13bb is the way to go, if i rember correctly, if you want it to look factory you can do alot of home work and get factory pipes and hoses from an importer, Ive seen a type 8 with genuine power steer but was told was difficult to get the factory pipes.
