For some reason I feel they will be soft compound, eg not long wearing

Hope their side walls are better than their M/T KO's....
After blowing six during the year of 2007 (all sidewall blow-outs), I wont be touching BF Goodrich again. And I'll tell this to anyone who'll listen. Their older muddie was way stronger and way better.

The BFG Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 light truck tire is designed for rock climbing and other rugged applications. Sizes will be rolled out in two phases, the first starting this September and the second starting in September 2008.bushy555 wrote:Hope their side walls are better than their M/T KO's....
The tire contains BFG's Krawler TEK technology that consists of agressive sidewall lugs, cut- and chip-resistant sidewall compounds and sidewall cords "that are up to 33% stronger than the previous Mud-Terrain T/A KM tire. These advancements allow for more bite and sidewall protection, along with increased strength and resistance to bruising caused by rocks and rough trails."

I have heard all this hype about 33% stronger before. It is all theory until proven on the road or off road really. Another brand could be 200% less likely to get stuffed sidewalls.
MTR's are meant to be so strong in the side wall but it only took me a week to put a stick through a side wall.
Who's gonna be the guinea pig?

I'd agree.. loved my old BFG's, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.. didnt like the new ones (both were on the GQ), squirmed and felt crap on road compared..bushy555 wrote:Their older muddie was way stronger and way better.

Re: BFG KM2 Vertual Test Drive
I'm a bit surprised that they used a tyre with chunks taken out of some tread blocks.SIM79 wrote:Below is a link to take the BFG KM2s for a virtual test drive. You can change the camera angles during the drive there are 4 to choose from.
