Have a look at http://www.airpowersystems.com/safari/t ... turbo.html, but I don't think they sell them in Aust any more.

Ive done a safari setup in an 80 before, which was auto, and the consumption went from 20l/100 to 23 around town. Remeber we are talking 20 unleaded to 23 premium here, so about $6 per 100kms thirstier...Afterwards, getting to 140 was faster than getting to 60 without the turbo, and you need a part time kit to get steering back on dry tar.
I know a guy who installed one in his faj100, it went like a rocket, but he had problems with the engine management telling him of a problem...i think it was to do with the map sensor not being calibrated for pressure, as normally it measures Manifold vacuum. A Unichip from thesame place will fix everything, and there are manifolds now available to bolt a turbo on to the 4.5....major job with no room for error...

I second the above with my experiences

Any reason why they stopped making this kit? I heard it was one of the best kits?
