tuning carby on a 91 mod sierra
tuning carby on a 91 mod sierra
hey all just wondering my zook is running rich as hell and starting to notice it on the fuel bill aswell i took it to my local mechanic and he told me that u need a special tool to tune it is this true if not i would love to know how ot tuneit so im not up for another carby but if so can i put a new model carby on or are they a diffrent set up thanks mate
There's no fuelling adjustment in a sierra carby, it's factory set AFAIK. The real question is why your carby has started delivering more fuel than it was - they normally go the other way.

If the Zuk still has its auto choke, then it could be stuck on, hence chewing more fuel. Take it to a carby rebuilder or remove the auto choke, ie wire the choke open. Just let the car warm up a bit before driving.
There is one for the idle fuel mixture it is hidden under a tamperproof cap, but it is possible to remove the cap.Gwagensteve wrote:There's no fuelling adjustment in a sierra carby, it's factory set AFAIK.
