Thermo fans on a 75 series

G'day, I am thinking of putting a thermo fan/s on my 75 series ute, can anyone here tell me,
1: what size is best for the job?
2: is it best to have them on a switch/temp controlled or on all the time?
(I was thinking of having a switch anyway for water crossing)
3: do you know of anyone selling them with shrouds to fit straight up
to a 75 radiator.
4: any reason why I shouldn't.
I did a search on this & answered a few questions but not them all.

why would you want to do that?? the stock clutch fan will pull a 100x more air than thermo's.

Just an option to stock clutch fan which I have to replace anyway...

i have tried it before and wasted my money. i have two 8' thermo's on my intercooler to assist the clutch fan and that did nothing noticable at all.

imagine the grunt need to power your clutch fan to get it to cool your car properly ? 3-4kw, so you will need that kinda grunt from electric fans to perform a similar job, the load of which goes straight back to your alternator anyways, not worth it just keep with the clutch fan

I had the same with my cluch fan I put a VR-VS v6 commo fan on works great it has a shroud and fits perffecilly and have run thrmo switch. you can put a switch on the dash for water crossings to kill the fan if you want.
80's on 33' km2 and bling wheels, 2" lift and a big wish list
