CCDA cage in a GQ half bubble ute cab
CCDA cage in a GQ half bubble ute cab
putting some thought into my cage.
There is enough room to squash in a main hoop but gonna be a tight fit for horizontal bar at shoulder height.
At this point im leaning towards option 3 with hoop behind cab and lateral bars thru backwall to main hoop via bushes....
what have others done?
comments and feedback much appreciated
No i dont want to make it a space/extra cab.

There's quite few trucks in NZ running exo cages. Mine included, but upon saying that i'm going to fit an internal 4 point and bolt the 2 together though the roof. Then it will be built proof!
93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)
you cant mount it to the cab and chassis as well the cab is rubber mounted to to chassis and moves quite a lot interpendently of the chassis and exo cages are illegal for street and comp use

i think he means CCDA type comps, not tough tracks and xrcc type events.
rvh, they also solid mount the bodies to the chassis.
i was told that a few years ago someone rolled bad in outback or something and had to strap body to chassis as all the body mounts were rooted but the exo type cage stayed together. might have been a wives tale though
