GQ Pre Filter

Post by azzad »

Ive been having problem with water ingress into the intake of my LWB GQ TD42 even though I have a snorkel.

I thought that I might not have sealed something up correctly so went about pulling it apart today.

What I found suprised me, all of my sikaflex joints were intact and it was actually the std pop riveted bottom of the pre filter that was the problem.

One rivet had busted and by the mud etc. this was obvioulsy the problem, I guess I will pull it apart clean it up seal it and re rivet it. Am going to modify the snorkel at the same time as Im not happy with the 2 piece arrangement and the join under the guard and the join at the inner guard.

Not sure what Im going to do yet, probablly get some 3" flex hose or something and use clamps, I want to change the crap square hose connection to the main filter also, again will prob welb a piece of 3" exhaust on here and then use the same 3" flex hose.
