Hiya...

Quick question, looking into solid axle swap on navara, using a patrol diff but pumpkin is on drivers side and need it on passenger side, what's involved in changing diff?

Was given a contact number for someone in sydney and apparently will cost $700...was just wanting to know what was involved...

I have been speaking to vsicks...waiting for him to reply to my last message but he's done a disappearing act :P

Is it possible to reuse the axle's , what I mean will you get enough movement if the pumpkin was moved to the other side and be the same distance from the left rotor , as it is from the right now , so you can reuse your axle's. What suspension are you going to run. Got a pic of your front diff. If you can reuse axle's it is a bit of diff tube cutting and welding , a jig to hold everything straight while you weld it. If you can't use axles you will need to modify one of yours and have a new one made , if you where quoted $700 , that sounds pretty good , Cheers Paul.

If the bolt pattern for the centre is symmetrical (IE: you can fit the centre upside down) then you could remove the brackets, flip the diff over and reweld the brackets. Axles will still fit.
Just an idea. :D

Just an idea. :D
The correct way would be to rotate the knuckles as well, as the solution you give would reverse the castor on the hubs, or leave the pinion pointing anywhere but where it should be if you did get the castor correct.
