I'm thinking of making tailshaft spacers and am wondering what most ppl would want. As you can quite easily redrill spring locators out 25mm I thought this would be a good option but what about anything larger say 40mm, would ppl want them?

What's YOUR labour worth? Structural bar stock is expensive and it needs to be precision machined (spigot and bolt locations) To do by hand there's probably 0.5-1.0hr in it, to CNC it - yeah it'll be quick, but whose CNC machine is lying around cheap/idle?
I won't complain about the price of something I can't make. Bear in mind though, reworking a drive shaft professionally is about $200 so they'll only appeal to people doing the bolt on thing, so 40mm might have limited appeal. (although it would correct RUF nicely)
There used to be some huge spacers used by a workshop here in Melbourne and they always worried me a bit, they just look a bit wrong and I worry about the side loading on the flanges.
OH, big spacers increase drivehsaft angle too. Most people who have too short drvieshafts also have too steep driveshafts and spacers don't help.
Not being negative Just cruzin' - there's a market - maybe 10mm rises? 10/20/30/40mm?
I know that 10mm etc can be handy for fixing jackshaft lengths after conversions etc.

Thanks Michael, but that's all done. I'm going to get some (maybe 20) quoted up and see how the price looks. I don't expect to sell heaps but it's something not done too much in OZ.11_evl wrote:greg.
i have both sizes here that u can borrow if needed for measurments.
i use bigger one for front (full ruf) and smaller one on rear because i had it
I don't want to keep heaps of different sizing as my small cashflow doesn't permit it. Kinda like 1" body lift, why bother, 10mm spacer has little meaning, if you need it you need 25mm.

I was going to make another spacer for my zook as my rear axle has been moved back an inch or so but if you were to make up a 25mm spacer for a good price it'd save me the hassle of making one up myself 
The last one I made was out of alloy and was a little bit bodgy (as in holes had to be redrilled so it had two sets of holes in the alloy plate) but I don't get any vibrations from it that I have noticed.
What type of price would we be looking at for a single 25mm spacer?
