33" tyres, or 35" tyres
hey all,
Im getting new tyres for my pajero, its a 1989 3L v6 NF.
I called about 10 places today looking for some 33" st copers and cheapest i could get for the copers is 295ea fitted, but i also found some 35" mud terrian ones and he said he will do me a deal and give them to me for $260 which is great but will they fit on.
My cars going in next tuesday and getting a 2" lift kit, and i also looked at the GT Radials and got priced 275ea so are they a good tyre for that price.
Im thinking the 35" are a little bit over board but if they will fit nicly 260 bucks ea isnt bad going the retail at 309ea so any suggestions guys.
Thank you Wade

mate i used to run 33"s with a 2" lift, if you could even call iut that, was more like 1.5" at the most and that was it on my shorty. Ran 33" JT2s for a while, they measure the same as most 35"s, they measure 34.6" tall, never rubbed anywehre. 3.0L V6 with 4.625 centres.
Now running 35" Treps with the new paj, 3.0L V6 is a bit slow, but thts ostly to the 5.29 centres, the 3.0L pushes them okay.

Re: tyres
What rims did you run the JT2s? and what width were they. I was running 34.6 x 11.5 JT2s and they would scrub on the rear of the front guards when turning. This is on a NL with a ~2ish inch lift and the factory bodylift.klrevo wrote:mate i used to run 33"s with a 2" lift, if you could even call iut that, was more like 1.5" at the most and that was it on my shorty. tyres
they were 15x8 cruiser offset, still running the same rims, and did so with the 33" nankang mustars as well as the JT2s and now the trepadors.
Tyres were 33x11.5x15 JT2 measuring 34.6" tall by over 12" wide, then Nankang Mudstars 33x12.5x15 and now Maxxis Trepadors 35x12.5x15.
The mudstars or JT2s never rubbed on full flex in the shorty, and the JT2s were about the same size as the Treps are now, reps a little bit bigger.
just a 2" suspension lift, wound up front, but then dropped again 10mm, and then pedders HD LWB springs in the back of the shorty.
theres pics around of it on the JT2s, but it never rubbed.

Re: tyres
Ahhh if Simex's website is current and your wheels are the same version then they might have been a little smaller than the 34's but wider.
