For the last couple weeks I have a creaking noise from the front when steeing at slow speeds or parking. I finally looked under the car today as I thought it was the caster bushes but found the noise coming from the steering box itself.
Anybody know whats in the box to make such a noise or repaired one before? Or have one laying around they want to sell??
Cheers,
Alec

If we r talking early cruiser, check for chassis cracks..early are prone for it...also look above the pitman arm at the splines on the sector shaft....they should be straight up and down, if they are twisted, you have a bent sector shaft.
Did u get those flares??
