Should be awesome this year as we only had a limited amount of interest in full body trucks in the 07 but it is looking like their is a lot more interest this year, this weekend gone at tufftracks i also talked to another 4 teams keen to compete in the full body class ( as long as buggies are in outlaw)
In 07 I think a few guys were cautious because we held the event around other bigger comps and they did not want to risk breakages a week prior.
The more full body trucks we get the more reason we have to keep this event going.
Its starting to look good for an outlaw class as well.
Should be awesome and i better get motivated and get my GQ ready :D
It will be great for specators to go as they can see speed orientated winch challenge events as well as technical rockcrawling stages all within a short distance of each other.

Vehicle Specs:
35"min - 40"max tyres
i recon you should make it 42" max...

more tyres come in 42" than 40"..well thats my theory anyways...Please !!

Evan
i recon 37'' cut off for tire size :)
the tyre size is there mainly to fill the gap between comps like toughtracks and TuffTruck. There are a lot of vehicles that can easily be competitive on 35-39" tyres but will struggle against vehicles on bigger rubber. As many of you guys will agree, that sort of range allows a fairly even playing field, and a well built rig on 35's could still do well!! Most guys who bought portals or rear steer or even 40"+ tyres new that these choices would always limit the events they would be able to compete in, nothing has changed. In future events we will try and work out a new class for the larger vehicles to compete in, as for now it will have to be in Unlimited.

OK - a bit of an update.
So far i have had a great response for the PRO-TRUCK section, and these guys can really look forward to being tested!! I think we should have around 12-15 Trucks, so get ready cus we will be running 2 courses at a time and we will try and get 6 tracks done on Saturday!! and hopefully 2 on Sunday (with a Top 3 shootout if time permits)

But for the buggies, I might try something a bit different!! It will be a spectacular event to watch!! (these will be run seperate from the PRO trucks)

Sat Morning 1-2 Technical crawling stages to get you warmed up!!
Sat Arvo - A PutUp or ShutUp style event!!! on "THE WALL" . The bottom of a rock wall will have 3 'entrance' gates, and at the top 3 'Exit ' gates. Combinations of these will have different point values according to there difficulty level!! 8minute to get as many points as you can, any combination any direction!!!! just go hard!!

Then if you are still up for more!!!

Sunday Morning - Long Course Rockracing!!! Simple - 1 Buggy at a time, nice long course with a bit of highrange action!! Plenty of obstacles and gates (2 cones per gate) 30 second cone penalty (std 3 wheels through ala werock) so its worth doing a reverse or a dig to get the right line. I will throw in plenty of ledges, climbs, and big rocks, so this will be awesome to see done at speed!!! (this will only be run, depending on buggy entrant numbers)

there will be nothing that we wouldn't put the hilux through!! (in fact we wish we could be competing instead of running it!!) But oyu will have to use your brains!!! Thats the whole idea of it!!! drive smart and to the capability of the vehicle. (and in our case try and drive it home and to work the next day).

Sounds like a fantastic event. This format is what the sport needs to grow in spectator numbers and sponsership opportunities. Would bring fans of different niches to the one event. Why see 8 buggies compete when you can see 8 buggies, 8 mod trucks and 8 outlaw trucks in 1 event.

Big ups for you BB and team for organising this
