Applause gearbox into a roza?

Post by Borisovich »

Does anybody know if it is possible to put applause gearbox into a roza?
Does applause have a rear wheel drive? Can I use applause transfer (manual or auto whatewer) to connect with my sammy t-case?

if you have or can take a picture of applause gearbox it will be great.

IIRC All Daihatsu Applause 1600 are front wheel drive, the basic Engine Block is the same as the Feroza and a few bits like altinator can be adapted to fit our beaties bit thats about it, being a traverse (east-west) motor the gearbox dosnt have the rear shaft for RWD.

Applause is a transverse FWD ( front wheel drive ).
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.

The only info I have lists them as an AWD transverse 5 speed roadie - cant see how it would be usefull.

nebivedu - if you have a pic of a Applause box that is suitable for a Feroza post it up.
