coils on leafs

Post by jlux3012 »

Has anyone added coils springs to their leaf springs on a Hilux to help with load carrying ability. Interested how they work and if they affect the flex.

Great for carring load but won't flex. Hard to fit 12.5" tyres with the coils under as they will scrub.

I had a Hilux with only a few rear leaves and coils. It flexed and rode heaps better than just leaves, but it wasn't set up for load carrying. The conversion was done by Outback Suspension.
