Move the exhaust to infront of the rear tyre or if u have wheel spacers outside the chassie cut all the mounts for the SJ tank off and weld new ones on. If you dont want clearance problems body lift it or cut the floor, the tank is wider and deeper.

will moving the exhust to infront of the rear tyre be legal in a SWB or will it be to close to the front doors? The rules say
"The exhaust outlet must extend at least 40mm beyond
the furthermost outboard or rearmost joint of the floor
pan that is not continuously welded or permanently
sealed which could permit direct access of exhaust
gases to the passenger compartment, but not beyond
the perimeter of the vehicle when viewed in plan."

I think its meant to be 400mm not 40mm.t_e_z_a wrote:will moving the exhust to infront of the rear tyre be legal in a SWB or will it be to close to the front doors? The rules say

and what year / engine / model vit do i need one from or are they all the same? (it is for efi)
