3.5 6g74 v6 wiring diagram

Post by regina »

Howdy,
Just chasing after wiring diagram for the above engine. Does anyone know where i can get my hands on one?

cheers.

Been having a few issues with the rear two cylinders. We can take the front cam angle sensor off, turn the car over and tap it and create spark for those cylinders, but the car only wants to run on 4 cyl. Has anyone experienced similar problems with these engines.
.
Engine was swapped as the old one over heated and cracked head. Installed another engine from wrecker which had 200,000km on it. Just cant work out how to get these last two cylinders working. Injectors work, spark plugs work, coil packs work, cam angle sensor works. The only thing we can think of is the reference points at the back of the cam gear that pass through the sensor. Is is possible that if this is off a little it may not register?

6G74 on 4 cylinders

Silly question, - they are always the easiest to answer, but have you checked that the plug leads are going to the right plugs?

Hi there

I dont have a diagram as such but have something that may help. Its a layout/definition of the 6G74 engine electrical system with a few tips.
I will send it to your email.

Regards

Try compression test like Scott said, the coil (3 coils per motor) for the rear plug doesn't power the rear plug on the opposite side if you know what I mean so it is odd that the two rear ones are not working. From memory the leads have numbers on them as to where they go

You know the plugs work ok?
