FJ40 Bj40 ARE THE ENGINE MOUNTS DIFFERENT

Post by SOFT 40 »

Hello. I am hoping that someone can help me. I have a FJ40 with a with a B diesel motor in it. I have broken an engine mount and trying to replace it, but it won’t line up (Out by 20mm). So I am wondering … Are the engine mounts different for a FJ40 to BJ40? And Are the engine mount brackets that attach to the chassis different? Also does anyone in the Brisbane area have any spare engine mounts or brackets to fit my described cruiser?

Thanks Shorne

i think they are different.. just cos its a B/3B vs a F/2F engine..

try Sunshine State 4wd for an engine mount for a B or 3B (they should tell you if they are the same or not?)

Are you sure you haven't busted a gearbox mount or two causing the 20mm out?

completely different the petrol motor uses a long fairly this mount whereas the BJ has a square one. Let me know which type your car is running depending on what was used when the car was converted. I have both types here if you want something posted up? pm me
