Hi. I am thinking of getting some new wheels for my hilux and spotted these on the net. Can someone please tell me who manufactures them and the model/style?

They lok like JDM rims to me (Japanese domestic market) don't look like anything sold new here.

nope. try a wrecker that does import stuff, you might get something similar off a surf or something.

They look to be 16X6. Very common in Japan.

They are IFS offest rims, no good if you have a solid axle!

This will probably sound stupid to most of you but why wouldn't they be suitable for a solid front axle?

IFS offset rims have more backspacing. They will make your car narrower compared to the rims you have now if currently run rims from a live axle car.

If you have an IFS hilux they'd be fine.

If you have a solid axle, the outer tie rod ends may rub/grind on the inside of the rim.

This is what happens when you fit IFS offset steel split rims to a solid Hilux on the front. Alloy rims are much thicker and the tie rod end would probably grind a deeper groove, if you can get them to turn.

Thanks for all the info guys. I emailed the guy who had the pics. It is a wrecker in country Vic. The $450 is for a set of 5 and he said they are 15x6.5 with an offset of 10.

My Hilux is a 97 xtra cab 4x4 so that means IFS doesn't it?

Will these fit and if so what tyres would suit them and my car best?

just go to procomp they have a similar style rim :) or look up american racing, they do similar styles aswell but cost more :)
