Yep - should be really fun.

Just working out the format now...going to experiment with a few different things...we will be running each course as a complete seperate competition so that the crowd that watches a single session will see a complete competition with winners and place getters being awarded at the end of the session.

Each session will be a variation on the sort of rockcrawling that we are currently.

One session will be run the same as the current WE Rock shootout course - that is everybody does a standard course and then in their remaining time gets to attempt and complete as many bonuses as possible.

Another session will be a straight speed competition - fastest time with least penalities wins. Only penalities to count will be cone penalities.

Another session will be a top score event...each gate has a point score attached to it between 10 points and 100 points. Can drive each gate can be driven twice...once in each direction with the vehicle progressing the same way through the gate (meaning if you reverse off a ledge to get the gate points then you will need to reverse up the ledge to get the second set of gate points. If you hit a cone then you dont get the gate points for that gate. There will also be a "joker" gate that will be worth 200 points and the difference with this gate is if you make you get 200 points but if you hit it you loose the 200 (if you hit any other regular gate you done loose any points).

Have a few other ideas Im working on also but Im really wanting to totally condense the competition so that any spectator can watch a session and walk away knowing exactly who won, who lost, who went well and who went crap etc etc.

I think that condensing our competitions into multiple shorter events with individual winners and loosers of each event will make our sport much more appealing to the general public.

If this format works this is how we will run some of our events this year.

At the 4x4 show we will also be heavily promoting a man made event to follow with 2 months somewhere in Brisbane or Ipswich. So this will be a very big deal for us.

Anybody that is keen to compete or promote should contact me...either phone, PM or email. We can only handle limited numbers at the show.
