As above but with 4l-65e instead of zf would be what I would choose.

Linky??

Sounds interesting. Is it a rover motor??

I still think bang for buck to get big horsepower you cant go past a new crate 6.0L v8 (for those of us not mechanically minded to rebuild a motors, trannys etc bu just bolt them all together  ).

See this page for prices
http://holmart.com.au/online/category6_1.htm

They can be found cheaper than this too if your really hunting for them.

yes its based on a rover block that stroked, i think they are more about the heads being able to flow enough to produce hp and match a larger volume engine then 3.5-5.0

They build to order, mostly 5.0l, as far as I know there were only 3 6.0l blocks cast, but youcould contact them,http://www.roverv8engine.co.uk/index.htm

Huh? its just chev bolt pattern, chev adapter to zf, chev adapted engine mount, with standard chev to gen3 adapters. Easy
ZF will die though, better off getting a 4l80e to lt230 (marks adapters)adapter or put a t700 in with lt230 adapter (overkill engineering) or change to LT95 trans case.

What about the postion of the 4L80e reative to the ZF? If you have positioned your engine to bolt up to the original ZF what's effected and what changes are needed?

Would have to move the transcase back, therefore extend/reduce driveshafts and relocate transcase/handbrake levers etc...

Are ya just selling the drive chain or the whole car?

How much?

I heard the t700 where a little weak for the 6.5 and the 4l80 was preferred.

Every 4l80e conversion I have seen has had to move the transfer way back to get clearance for the front driveshaft, then had to mod the floor and crossmembers to make room.

gee those Holden engine and gbox prices are cheap, considering it cost 3k just to get the Paj auto recond! Definetely a wothwhile consideration for a cheap and reliable power upgrade.
