hi just after a few hints and tips on what to do and where to start with a slightly modified rangie. it has a 4.4 conversion 2'' susp lift and 33's. Just wondering where to start?
Where you start is up to you, what you want to do with it, and what has been done to it. As it is it will be a capable off roader, only when you use it will you know what you need to do to it. Of course you can do the whole hog but it may be a waste of money and you still may not be happy with it.
Just go out and enjoy it the way it is for a while.

well it has long range tanks on the side so noy sure whether to get rid of them or not i think a body lift is a must but not sure chassis wise and

Dont be scared of long range sill tanks, just put some scrub rails/sliders on, raise the fuel tanks the same amount as the body lift when you do the lift, print out the intructions off the LRA website and use them AS A GUIDE ONLY, NOT AS GOSPEL, every vehicle is slightly different and you will need to keep a close eye on things as you go. Do one thing at a time test it after each mod. Keep going until your happy.

you would be surprised how far a rangie will go, as the fellas have pointed out. you will be able to get into enough trouble as is. if you get silly then you'll break anything doesn't matter what you have or how good it is, just your wallet will cry!
but you could go for...
extra power: intake manifold, cam, carby, ignition system, exhaust for starters
better traction: locker(s) and/or better tires
functionality: winch, extra lights, fridge etc etc etc...
if you only plan to take it out occasionally or touring, you already have enough, just point and go...
but if its comps you want to do, i cant help you, talk to some of the other people here, some have real mean machines...

she sounds sweet as is but it depends on what you want to do with her my rangie had a 2 inch suspension lift and 31 no locker just good tyres and i went further then my mates in there jap cars sometimes even when theywhere locked ( oh the good ol days ) mate just get out and play she will tell you what she needs

Sounds like a class act already. The list of extras is endless and expensive. It all depends upon what you want from it.
I would add a winch/bar, a difflock or 2, good tyres, endless air and an auto.
Try to keep it as low as possible.
I would also keep the sill tanks to have a bit of touring range.

yeah im starting to work out that ill need fuel and just trying to locate or make some tank gaurds, its got a winch but dont think its a winch bar so until i get a bar made for it then im not gonna use it but im thinking maybe 3 or 4'' springs and 35's im gonna leave the body lift for now but a locker or two is a cert.
