T-Belt warning light

T-Belt warning light
At 400,000 the t-belt warning light came on. How do i disconnect it or turn it off. It does not need a nw one as i put one in bout 5000kms befroe that?

Depends on what year yr Toyo is. I have a 98 100 series and it is all done via the ignition key and trip meter knob. Earlier models required the dash to be taken out and the reset button is located on the back of the dash panel. If you had yr belt replaced at a garage they should have reset the unit as part of the change.

The way troy said applys for all hilux's (upto 97 that i know of, after that i have never looked)
By the way SNAFU the light comes on for a reason, so unless you have replaced the t/belt in the last 100,000 k's then you need to change it!!

he said he changed it 5000 ago, mine is about to come on in the work ute, for 200,000 (im at 198000) w00t!!!

In that case we should have told him that the light meens he has to change it again!
I've had my vehicle from 150,000 KM to about 220,000 KM and I am yet to see a warning light Guess mine is unbreakable

I got mine at 213000 and i didn't know if it had been changed or not so i changed it and then the light came on at 240000 so i did the reset button tricky thingy and "wulla" it went off.
