48 hrs Atacama Desert Trophy

Post by pato castro »

This is an event that consists of climbing as high as you can go some of the tallest dunes on the desert, the conditions are very harsh and the machines are punished to the max, not to mention that the dunes are really huge, check this video:

You can see the other three videos linked there.

Not yet, a friend is building a 600+ hp 2 door Patrol but the true is that 1000 hp is unnecesary since this isn't a competition like the ones arabs do, plus they have tons more money to broke down $ 50,000+ engines

 Fair point. I guess at some point all 1000hp does is get you bogged 1/10th of a second quicker.

Sounds like a fun rig. :)

That's a turbocharged 2.6 litre Isuzu MU (Amigo), with forged pistons, steel rods and a lot of upgrades, it produces about 200 hp at the wheels

That white Samurai has an 3.2 Isuzu engine out of a 2001 Trooper, and N2O, it surely has some power. Most of the vehicles have sorted out the cooling issue after several different radiator/thermostat/fan/water pump combos
And yes, that place in incredible
