hey guys,

want to know what is the maximum tyre i can fit under my zook sierra, 94 leaf spring. i currently have 30.5 mt's, looking to get a bit more ground clearance.
I have 50mm body lift, and want to know if i could fit 32's on, or maybe 31's.
and what it would take to fit 33's on?

Any idea's/pics.

Cheers

Andy, this is a very open ended question mate. You could fit 54s on if you really wanted to. The general consensus with zooks is to keep them as low as possible and chop the guards rather than add lift. The reason for this is because they become very tippy with too much lift.

2inch springs, 2inch body lift, and liberal use of the grinder will see 33s fit with ease.

but dont forget about gearing. I have an 84 1 litre zook, had 31"s on it and couldn't climb hills, it didn't have the power, the engine would stall half way up. I fitted up a set of 30"s and wow what a difference. it can climb anything i've been game enough to try since. (well lack of power isn't what stops me anymore).

being the 1.3 you might get away with 31"s but 33's you'd definately need gears.

in my opinion forget about having the biggest balls! 30"s and lockers will get you absoletely anywhere.

I've got a 94 zook as well and I've got 32x9.5 fitted up with just 2inch extended shackles and a bit of angle grinder work. I need to do a little bit more work on the front as they scrub when flexing. I'm tossing up doing a more extensive chop or a bodylift but I think I'll go the chop with slightly extended bumpstops because it'll keep it nice and low still. My front axle sits approx 30mm forward so that stops the tyre hitting the firewall.
So basically a skinny 32 should fit quite easily with a little bit of work on your front guards (your body lift will make it a lot less work on the guards) and possible redrill of the front axle locators. Don't forget you basically won't be able to drive without a reduction of gears. I drove around for a month or so without a reduction and my clutch absolutely hated me for it plus I couldn't hardly do any more than 80-90 with the wind behind me.
