Transfer case

Post by Percy »

Ok any help would be appreciated, what is stopping me putting a Suziki Sierra transfer case into the stock Feroza gearbox and adding these reduction gears? http://www.rocky-road.com/zukgear.html
The other option is the rock lobster T case 4.16 I know this has been done will the crawl ratio be more than adequte its around 90?
Looking at running 33's off road and keeping my current set up of 30's on road. Have a widetrack Feroza stock engine and g'box.

Thanks

It's been done, somebody will post the link I'm sure. Otherwise search and you shall find.

Biggest issue is that the Zook tranny case is divorced, Feroza isn't.

Ideally, you'd want to replace the Feroza gearbox too. It isn't the strongest, most durable box around

Yep already been through them thats where i got the idea from. Was hoping for qick explaination, Bosorvich say it just bolts in with a news mount, is it this simple? With a divorced case I would think not as easy but....
The idea was to overhaul the car next year (axles engine gearbox) but would like it to be a little more capable this year to run around in was sorta hoping for a quick fix I suppose.

Would like to see a few more pics and some justification that it is an easy a relitively easy job with a bit of fab work beofer I go out and spend the money.
