cracked axle, melted bearings
gday guys, any help here would be appricated, i have a 62series and broke the right rear axle in half, theres no bearings left and it got real farkin hot. ive pulled some of it down and hears what it looks like.
the bearings look like they are fused to the stub.
ive tried to drill a hole into the axle to tap it to get it out with no success.
its got so hot, theres steel build up on axle and in the diff axle housing too.

i noticed a jump/hop when taking off...no bearing noise, as put up in another post was put down to clutch shudder. even took it to a shop who drove it and said yep clutch.
when i take off the brake drum is the bit that is still sticking out, is it part off the diff or brake setup...( the bit in 2nd pic with bearing case on it)
i belive the diff centre will be saveable but not sure if the diff housing will be any good, i was hoping that there might be any easy way out , but i quess its not gunna be
