My speedo cable broke, so i replaced both the outer and the inner. and about 5 min later on the road it broke again.... is there something really obvious that i have forgot to do??? do u need to lubricate the cable or anything??? thanks guys

Sounds like something might be seized? Did the speedo work for a bit when you put in the new cable? A LITTLE bit of grease can help but that won't have caused it to break in that short a time. When you fit the new cable jack up the rear wheels and start the car, put it in gear and have a look/listen. Make sure you are on flat ground with axle stands too!

yeah speedo worked fine for the 5 min. cool will try on stands for a bit. cheers
