What are the signs that a diesel pump on 4.2 gq needs rebuild.? Mine when reved, has bit of hesistation before the revs too slowly start to fall back to idel.Could it be just a fueling problem or worst. Any recomendations who to take it to ,to get checked out close to frankston area.
Cheers.

My pump started leaking fuel like a sieve, so I kinda figured it needed a rebuild. It still worked fine and had no hesitation when revving, but the new fangled low sulphur diesel had dried out the seals in the pump...

Maybe get the injectors cleaned first and see if that makes a difference.

the low sulphur diesel dried out the seals? I was told that it was the sulphar that wrecked the seals and that low sulphar diesel was much better for them
