Rear work/reverse lights

Post by TheOtherLeft »

I'm about to put in some extra reverse/work lights.

Where's the easiest place I can access the reverse switch wire for a GV - transmission tunnel maybe???

I want to be able to switch the lights on independently of selecting reverse also.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or is it just like wiring in spotties?

Do I have to worry about negative switching?

I remember seeing some posts ages ago but can't find them now :?

here is one for a sierra should be the same.
You use the reverse wire at the back of the car to trigger a relay.

Thanks for that.

Does anyone know what the combined relay & fuses are called and where to buy them? I think they are called Fused Relays and they have 2 fuse holders inbuilt.

Can you get protective covers for them as the fuses are exposed to the dirt/mud in the engine bay. Either that or just run conventional seperate fuses and standard relays but I want to minimise wiring.
