Im a fan of tuff dogs. Havn't used myself but have mates who have them on their hilux and navara, and hanv't had any trouble.

Mate put 2" lifted OME springs in his cruiser ute and they sagged pretty quick. Wasn't happy with them at all.

Not much help but thats all I got.

I put a 2" tuffdog kit {with adjustable shocks}in my lux when I had it. Flogged out both front shock bushes in 6 months {replaced un warranty} 1 rear shock replaced after leaking. Then had it sag back to origial hieght ,but by the time I got it back to the purchase place it was out of warranty.

I had a 2" TJM series2000 kit in my HJ60 before the lux and would recommend this kit before the Tuffdog.

have had OME front shocks in my 98 lux for about a year now and have found them good, have just recently put OME rear springs and shocks in (2mths ago) and again have found them to be great so far. went for the heavy duty 450kg constant load rear springs cause i have a heavy tray, watertank, cary a heap of camping gear usually and they went great on my easter moreton trip, carrying probably close to 900kg of gear (14 guys worth). not harsh at all when unladen either.

Dont go OME, Had them on my 60 series, she settled back to standard height within 6 months. When i worked at ARB 9 out of 10 cars that had OME fitted would come back with sagging issues, it was getting beyond a joke! not sure about Tough Dog. but from personal experiences ill never use OME or that dakar rubbish

Don't know about down south but Tough Dog are not honouring warranties for vehicles that have gone off road.

I was told this by a store that has had to fork out for a new set of the extreme ones becuase they won't warranty since it has been off road.

Just what i was told when i rang up for a price on a mates cruiser.
Kind Regards,
Brad

We have had OME on 1x '87' Hilux dual cab, 2x 60series cruisers & 3x 80series cruisers in the family and never had any problems. As all suspension they did settle a little from install but not sagging.
Average ownership of the vehicles with suspension mods is between 10 to 15 years.
I will always reccomend OME for general on road/off road use including outback travelling. If you want competition type suspension (short term life but big travel), use something like EFS.

Be careful though as the fronts chew out the top rubbers rapidly, especially if the torsion bars are cranked up.
