SAS on a Gen 1.

Post by dans-paj92 »

hey,
Just wondering of anyone has done a SAS on a Gen 1 pajero. The reason is because I am seriously thinking of doing one. I want to know though what problems there are with this. I was also going to use Hilux front and rear diffs, Hilux gearbox and transfer so I dont have to flip the diff pumkin. I know the Rock Art Pajero used a 60 series diff that was flipped with airshocks. I was going to use coils. Any help is appreciated.
Cheers Dan.

sweet,

i take it from your sig line youre going to be running the lux engine too, otherwise i was going to say have fun with the paj exhaust. i can fully understand why youre doing this, i have an SAS's paj too, but surely with all the bits youre going to run, a lux may be a better option??? hahah i guess though i cant talk...

make sure you fill us in on updates.

I just got a new 2 1/4" sports exhaust system put on a couple of months ago before the motor blew up and I have a 3" BL also so I got them to put the exhaust as high as they could to the body. Yeah people were telling me to get a short motor which I was quoted $2500 reconditioned or $3500 for a long motor fully reconditioned. Was going to go with a VP commodore motor then found out the adapter for the turbo 700 auto to the paj transfer would cost more than the motor. Then I came across a 2.4 diesel hilux that a mate's mate has for sale and only wants $1500 for it. I get a motor, gearbox, transfer, front and rear diffs and one sick Paj when I'm finished. I just like the Paj too much.

Why don't you mate the T700 to the lux transfer case as that is easy. The you get the V6 + toy running gear without that horrible motor.
