Go away and come back when your grown up, little man. :D :D :D :D

Over the last 13 years or so,

My original F75
A spare F75 that was bought for parts
A complete body shell bought as a replacement for the Yellow Peril when the cancer got too much for it.
A white F80 bought for my daughter
A grey F70 bought for my other daughter
A near complete Green F70 bought as spares for the above.
Plus god know how many parts, spares, and bit and pieces collected over the years.

Currently the list is is

My F75 still on the road, but doesnt get used or attended to anywhere near as much as I'd like these days, cause I work away from home.
The Yellow Peril body, on a spare chassis, full of parts around the side.
The Grey F70 sitting covered out the front, shell half cut with the intention of someday making a SWB ute out of it.
The White F80 on the road in Hervey Bay with the youngest daughter.
The other side of the house has a shed full of panels, interiors, ect.

And then there is the LJ80 Suzi currently undergoing a long winded restoration, and the Corolla bought for eldest daughter to make things easier for her and the grandson. Oh, and my Kawasaki Vulcan.

Oh, did I mention my F75 has a factory winch, and double lockers??? :D :D :D :D :D :finger:

Cheers

So that's only 4, really. So I'm close. And the one that you gave to your daughter shouldn't really count :P

I was eating a pie in my Rocky on thursday, and a lady came up and asked me if I wanted to buy another one  ( a Rocky not a pie :D ). $500, but it was a petrol one so I declined. I was picking this other one up on Friday anyway. Its like Rocky's grew on tree's out here or sumthing

Looked under the hood, it was made on the 5/1984. Same as mine. Its like a lil family reunion

Yeah, but it looks like you have a bit of land to store them. Mine are all on a suburban house block- yes there is a house on it- so I have had to have quite a few cleanouts as time went past.

I am also past the point of keeping bits and pieces that are worn out, bent, broken, ect. I used to keep them "just in case" they might come in handy someday.

It did it but it wasn't happy about it

4th gear and about 60-70kph was as quick as she would go. And stopping was a bit of an adventure.

I'd tack more pics but it's at a mates property because some barstard lit the tarp on fire that was covering it and melted the LH rear quarter, the LHS tail lights, the driver's side racing harnes, put a hole in the driver's seat and melted the vynal roof :bad-words: :bad-words: :bad-words:

Yes it's tough and  I spent 2 hours scrubing the mould off the seats, seat belts and roof
Then another hour fixing the breaks I still have to change the rear drive shaft it's blown a uni change the rear gear box seal so the hand break will work and strip the carbie to find out why the float level ceeps changing
But am flat out working on a F20 so I can finish it and start the resto on my F10 she's getting repainted the factory color I'm sik of the paint falling off it :bad-words:

2 years ago i had 12 Daihatsu Scats in my backyard, that was my maximum :D
But in the more than 10 years i drive Daihatsu i lost my count. (only scat and Rocky diesels)

But i think the biggest Daihatsu 4x4 collector of the world lives in Nederland, he have more than 30 a few years ago and is still collecting
Daihatsu F50 with 37" Simex tyres for battle
Daihatsu Rocky with 33" Blackstar tyres for normal off-road and daily drive

Two's enough for me... at moment anyway :D

F75 1986 model. 330,000km's Naturally Asmatic diesel. Was my first car and I don't think I could dare part with it. Had it 8 yrs now. Rebuilt...hmm... everything. Still runs perfectly and starts first time every time. Since getting the newer rocky it's become the city car... still works perfectly in 4wd but just doesn't have the tyres or lift for off road.

F75 1992 model. 195,000km's Turbo Intercooled diesel. Purchased it almost 2 yrs ago. Currently decking it out with all the good gear for off-roading and touring. To much gear to list so I won't even start.
Hope to post a thread about it down the track.

Excellent vehicle. Have driven many current model 4wd's and still preffer the rocky.
The only real contender for replacment would be either a 76 series landcruiser 4 door troopy (bring on the V8 diesel) or a GU patrol with 6.5L Chev V8 diesel conversion.

... Anyway back to the real world now

And answering your question...
The obsession starts as soon as you take them off-road ;)

Cheers
If it doesn't have two sticks, I don't wana know about it!
