Where are you getting a 55 litre Engel from for $800?
Please let me know so I can go and get one from the same place.
If you can get an Engel for that kind of money grab it. You would normally looking at around $1500 for an Engel in that size.

I'll check those fridges out. Just really wondering on the reliability of anything other than Engel.

I did mean the Companion was $800, the engel is around $1700. Big difference but over 10-15 years might be cheaper...

Sidewinder is chinese made (like Waeco), but I wonder about the warranty and long term life.

After some serious research on the Sidewinder, i thought it read alright. The Compressor should be okay from what it reads and at the end of the day that is where the reliablity is

What other fridges use an engel "swing" compressor? Just curious. A lot use danfoss which are a good unit.
