Changing a dash light globe

Post by ChrisD »

On my dash there is a pic of the 4x4, it shows 4 lights. 2 of which are on when in 2wd etc..... (I don't know if they are all the same and this is my 1st Pajero). Anyway, the other day the rear right light (on the dash) went out. I checked to see if I could get it back by putting it into 4wd, then 4H and 4L but still no light. So I'm thinking the globe is busted, is this a hard thing to get to or should I take it to a Mistsi shop.

What model are we talking?

On the NL there are two screws under the binnacle in front of the steering wheel and one on top closer to the windscreen under a cover. Remove these and pull it of after un plugging cables.

Then there are 3? I think screws to get the instruments out and of course the plugs. NL has no speedo cable, yours might, undo this to.

Look at the back of instruments and determine which bulb is the offender by twisting and removing. I would replace all 4. They are all the same age.

This should take half an hour max. Or $$$$$$ at Mitsi.

It's an NM Exceed, not sure if it's the same procedure but I will have a look and see how I go. Thanks for the help.
