What's the link between Suzuki and the Rhino badge?

We never used the suzuki rhino though on our shirts. The original grumpo design was modelled more on the camel trophy plaque and colours. It did evolve over the years though.
The Suzuki Rhino was used in Japan too, but outside of Japan it was most prevalent in the UK.
I don't really know why the Rhino was chosen to represent suzuki, but it was big through the 80's There might be some obscure japanese reason (Hello Kitty, anyone )
