the last zook i cut up, someone wanted the rear floor to extend theirs.
and someone else wanted the A pillars.

the doors, bonnet and front clip are getting picked up in a few hours so i dont want half a car sitting in my driveway for too long, it will look like shit

yeh i know, the other one we cut up on AUS day didnt take much.. but there was a fair bit of rust in every panel so not much was salvagable...built4thrashing wrote:It doesnt take much to cut a sierra in half. me and a mate cut one just before the b pillar with 1/2 a 4 inch grinder disc.
this one is in good cond so i dont want to cut it up if there are parts that can be used and are usefull to someone

nah its a hardtop. i know soft tops are easy to pull apart and most/all panels can be unbolted.alien wrote:if its a soft top the sliders on the targa bar and the channel at the top is hard to come by at a wrecker...
im looking at parts that cant be unbolted. parts that need to be welded back in etc...
because if not much is usefull it will probably be cut up by next weekend and in the bin.
id prefer to be able to help someone out rather than throw it away

i was actually thinking that this arvo.built4thrashing wrote:the soft top we cut in half is being used to make a camping trailer. would have used a Hard top but this was just the right price.
had an idea of putting a bed in it and storage drawers under it.
and where the engine was id put some water/fuel tanks or something..
but i have too many projects ATM so it would probably sit there for a while

Cut the floor, tunnel and internal sill sections out. I've had to replace the floor in a sierra from rust - I can't be the only one.
Normally you'll only need the floor up to the seat mounts.
Steve.
