Challenger drivers/owners

G'day all,
I'm a newbie here having only been introduced to this forum by my brother last week.
I'm own a 2003 Challenger and am wrapped with it thus far. I was have noticed that there seems to be a bit of an absence of Challenger drivers on this forum. I'm just wondering who else out there "likes a challenge"?

There's a few in my club, not seriously modified though.
They are basically a Triton with a rear canopy and some other small changes.
The running gear is the same except for the coil rear end on 2001+ models.
If you have an auto they run the Paj 3.5 V6 running gear (larger rear diff & t/case).
If you have a 5sp it will have the smaller 9" rear diff (which will take a ARB locker) and the smaller t/case.
Reasonable power to weight ratio and I like the pivoting rear trailing arms (as opposed to the Paj's bushed ones), heaps of potential for decent flex there.
A front ARB locker will be available for it in Feb 2004.
They also have the high body mounts so will run 33"s pretty much standard.
There is a guy in the US who has converted his Challenger (Montero Sport over there) to Dana 44 front and rear axles, lockers and 5.38 ratio's.
In the US and Japan they have 3.5 V6 versions with the super select t/case but I hear the model has now come to the end of it's life. Not sure what it will be replaced with though probly some unitary bodied high HP non flexing dirt road cruiser

Hey Bitsa,
yeah I'm running BFG AT's @ 265/75 R16. I have the Auto transmission (got lazy driving my other vehicle...also an auto).

I am thinking about fitting a snorkel. What's the going price on a reputable make?

Yeah there's 2 types, the TJM range (Airtech) or ARB (Safari) both are around the $500-550 mark fitted from memory.
I personally like the Airtech as it looks a bit better than the boxier Safari but either will work fine as long as they are installed correctly.

Thanks Bista, I'll have a gander at the prices in my local area (read as: nearest ARB or TJM dealer 2hrs away ).

My old man has a safari (I think) on his Discovery, I'll check it out when there for Chrissy.
