ARB XWC Round 2

Post by XTREME MMM »

:D :D :D

Numbers are now in the 30,s so if you want in, be quick.

I will be leaving for Rocky on Friday morning and will be contactable by phone and email.

Below is some info for the weekend:-

SS1 all competitors will be able to preview (if they are early) the course, that way everyone knows what to expect, this should stop any talk of local advantage.

SS2 & 3 will be in "Brad and Fester's Hole" but with more crowd control bunting up.

Saturdays SS will be a mixture of new an old (but different) tracks.

Sunday expect more bum time on seat for some longer SS, due to the fact that we do not have to finish at 2pm.

Sunday night will see the very first ARB XWC "Trophy Presentation and Dinner" being held, please make sure that you have purchased your meal ticket as it will be required to get a seat and meal on the night. Tickets are very limited.

Meal tickets can be purchased from me direct or if you are lucky, available from Rob in the "Xtreme Shoppe" over the weekend.

Cheers

Will be working on it, but I must say I should/will be able to make the winching harder, but I cannot work out how to make Russell "The Wheel Man" drive slower apart from putting a brick under the right pedal.

There will be some tuff competition from the CQ guys this year. So be prepared.

:D :D :D

The SS are looking great, weather today was a little bit overcast in the morning but sunny most of the day.

The SS set up so far are a drivers dream, with some room to use all that HP.

Note:- Make sure the petrol powered are waterproof, as the weir is right to the top.

For those that do not know how to use a GPS or ground anchor it would be in your best interest to learn very quickly.

For those that are chasing some parts:-

I have 2 ground anchor available, 2 lengths of 50meters x 11mm Plasma and 1 length 40meters x 12mm.

Solenoids are still on way and hopefully will arrive for the weekend.

Cheers

X day minus 1

Emma (WIN TV) and I driving the MLC had a play this afternoon on some of the SS planed for the weekend, what fun it is to have a reporter who has not really been in a 4WD before sitting in the passenger side, when you are on the limiter.

Weather today had some cloud cover but was still around 29deg.

Teams have started to roll in as we were heading back to the Motel to complete paperwork.

Take it easy on the way up.

Cheers

Round 3

Post by Kevy Not »

Heard from the boys last night. Rod Mc Graw in his jeep on the first stage did a steering box. (Has got a spare so is still going) - pushing very hard. It was a 6klm fast stage. Boby D and old man Sternbeck are going very well. Robbie Marshall was the only one to drive the main hill where everyone else had to winch.

It is still to early to say Rob has received a DNF on SS4 as this is a GPS SS you loose 1 correct GPS point for every minute over the set DNF time.

It is scored on correct points found and time, so until I have dinner and sit down and do scores we do not know.

Several of the top running teams punched a GPS point by entering punch the incorrect way, even after being told at briefing that they had to go into the garage to make punch, this means that those Teams that made that punch the incorrect way will lose that GPS point.

Hopefully I will have some running order up later on www.xtreme4x4sport.com.au

Cheers
