I have a GQ TD42 factory auto and since I have had it goes into overdrive all the time regardless of the speed the car is travelling at......
I recently bought an auto TB42 Patrol and this one will only ever go into overdrive when on the Highway doing about 95kays or over......
The question is which one is working properly?????
What is correct operation and what do I need to do fix the one that isn't doing the right thing??
thanks
James

GQ Auto Overdrive behavior
If the auto is functioning correctly it will go into overdrive at any speed what you are describing at the 95 kmh mark is the torque convertor locking up not the auto going into overdrive.
