Kevy Not wrote:Heard from the boys last night. Rod Mc Graw in his jeep on the first stage did a steering box. (Has got a spare so is still going) - pushing very hard. It was a 6klm fast stage. Boby D and old man Sternbeck are going very well. Robbie Marshall was the only one to drive the main hill where everyone else had to winch.
Sorry to rain on your parade but the first stage was about 2 to 3km long, and a local lad called gumby in a blue gu shorty ute drove the main hill as well

Hi all, me here, my mates call me LAWRIE (or POP). Had a great time, thanks MMM, great stages & well run. My Procomp tyres & staun bead locks worked well & I was very happy with 4th. place considering I've got one of those old single motor highmount winches on 24 volts with a Mal Leslie freespool Ha Ha. My daughters were there and took heaps of pics but I don't know how to post them.

Thats what I call a fun weekend. Rocky is one of the best places to hold a event, you can't beat driving 5 minutes to get back to town and staying in decent accomidation, also the crowds were great.
Luck wasn't going Clayton's racings way with Spoony breaking a axle (not a tailshaft) so he also had to take a outside assistance penalty.
Over the weekend Jodie who was driving racing my Hilux was complaining about heavy steering. After several complaints I told her to harden the f....... up and to deal with it, it's not that bad to steer. I leave the rear locker in a lot of the the time while racing, and we just moved the switches before the event. In the last stage of the weekend we did a locker line, and then worked out she had been driving with front locker in most of the weekend...hmmm..looks like im buying lunch this week..
Anyway, we had a ball, loved all the tracks, and will be back next year.. Cheers Mike

First trip to Rocky. What a great event. Thanks to MMM and his crew - the event would not be possible with out them. This was only our 4th winch challenge and what a great result - 2nd place. Thanks also to all our follow competitors. Finally a big thanks to our sponsors - BOAB and S & M Metals. See you at the next event. Chris & Terry

Round 2 ARB XWC

Post by XTREME MMM »

:D :D :D

Yes Rocky was again great.

Here at Xtreme I like to play fair, so below is the amended rule (9L) relating to a positive alcohol reading. Now it is fair to all, regardless of when you are due to run a SS.

Yes as I can relate to rule changes with a name this is now the unofficial "Robbie Rule"

9L. No alcohol or recreational drugs are to be consumed prior to or during the running of SS. Random alcohol or drug testing may be carried out on drivers and co-drivers at any time throughout the competition.

a. Competitors who record a positive reading 15minutes after official briefing will be retested every sixty minutes, until the reading returns to zero. A 10 point penalty will be incured for every positive reading until zero.

b. Competitors who record a positive reading when tested either during, or at the end of the days competition will receive a DNS for their last completed SS, and will be tested as per 9La above.

Overall results are at www.xtreme4x4sport.com.au

Cheers
