Post by bakerboy »

gday guys my sister is looking at getting a hilux ('89) but its been pointed out that the power steering currently isnt workin due to where the tensioner bolts up, theres a snapped bolt in pump and power steer has been taken off. how hard is it to get it drilled out & tapped or put another pump on it? cheers for any help guys i havent actually seen it yet so i cant provide more info, just trying to work out what she needs to do (translates to what dad and i need to do) to get it fixed

cheers, Cameron

My mate at work, just had the same problem. He went to a wrecker and paid $150 for the parts and fitted them himself.

If you have time to spare, the bolt can be removed. All the stuff unbolts.
