tube bender dies

Post by ofr57 »

afternoon all
i'm soon going to be buying a jd2-model 3 i was just wondering what die's did they get

I'm going to be getting 1-3/4 , 1-1/2
I'm just not sure about the crl??
5.5 or 6.5

that determines the tightness of the bend correct?
which is more usable???
I'll be making a cage, tray, front bar , shock hoops for my project

cheers

if you are making roll cages i would go for a 3 times matterial diameter die as a minimum for your 1-3/4".

some forms of motor sport demand a 4x dia as a minimum, so check your regulations.

for 1-1/2" it's not such an issue
